About Me
I'm Xinran (Joy) Yao, a Product Designer based in Seattle. Most recently at Microsoft, I designed workflows for an enterprise AI workforce platform, working with engineers to bring interactions from concepts into the frontend. Previously at Samsung, I designed data quality management and enterprise workflows.
Currently pursuing an M.S. in Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington, where I earned my B.Des. in Interaction Design.
Having lived in Chile, China, Canada, and the United States, I bring a cross-cultural perspective to projects.
Experience
Designed core enterprise workflows for Microsoft’s AI workforce platform, helping users deploy, manage, and collaborate with autonomous Digital Workers across configurable business processes.

Unified fragmented security signals into interactive attack-path visualizations and user-behavior heat maps, enabling enterprise security teams to trace threats and detect anomalies without manual correlation.
